BUSINESS SERVICES

Workplace wellbeing, psychosocial risk management, and capability uplift for mining, FIFO and remote operations

MYNR is an Australian-owned business supporting employers, communities and workers in high-demand, high-risk operations nation-wide.

Founded in Perth in 2023, MYNR was created to address a critical gap in the support network that remote and shift-based workforces rely on - especially where traditional systems can be fragmented, reactive, and difficult to implement. We partner with leading businesses, contractors, and teams working in environments where isolation, fatigue, heat stress, and mental strain are real human concerns that can quickly become even bigger commercial risks.

We deliver practical, evidence-based solutions designed for real mining and FIFO worksites - through on-site engagement, confidential counselling, capability uplift, and extensive resources. Our approach is built for safer operations, stronger culture, and sustainable performance, with services that can be tailored to your unique workforce needs and operational priorities.

Our team is ready to work with yours to strengthen wellbeing, capability and culture from the inside out - building a stronger foundation for long-term, sustainable success in 2026 and beyond.

The business case for workplace wellbeing

  • Managing psychosocial hazards is an obligation under national Model WHS Acts and Regulations - they’re very real, very expensive risks. Safe Work Australia research has estimated the cost of low psychosocial safety climate (PSC) to employers at around $6 billion, and the cost of depression via absenteeism at around $6.3 billion, per annum. Bullying, harassment, isolation, high job demands, poor support and traumatic exposure drive higher claim costs, and longer time away from work.

  • Australian research has reported positive returns on investment from mentally healthy workplace strategies, often cited as around $2.30+ saved per $1 invested. ROI can vary depending on intervention type - Deloitte has cited ranges of $1.30 to $4.70 in some categories.

  • Comprehensive workplace wellbeing programs can deliver up to 6X ROI. Initiatives are particularly effective when they address key drivers that show up on site - fatigue, inconsistent nutrition, and mental health/stress - and are implemented in a way that drives participation. A Harvard/Health Affairs meta-analysis found average savings of $3.27 in medical costs and $2.73 in absenteeism costs for every $1 invested.

  • Retention has real dollar impact, and replacing employees is expensive. AHRI summarises evidence that replacement costs can be around 20% of annual salary for mid-level roles, and can reach up to 213% for executives. The usual rule-of-thumb cost for replacing an employee is an average of 1.5X salary when you account for broader costs.

  • Critical skills are in short supply across mining and remote operations, making retention and productivity priority issues. Jobs and Skills Australia and the Government’s CSOL list Diesel Motor Mechanics (HD, mobile plant), key geoscience roles (Geologists, Geophysicists, Hydrogeologists), Metallurgists, and supporting technical professionals such as Surveyors and core engineering disciplines (Geotechnical, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineers) on Australia’s Occupation Shortage List. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has explicitly noted growing demand in mining pathways, making it more important than ever to invest in people.

Investing in wellbeing isn’t a cost, it’s a multiplier.

How can MYNR work with your business to ensure the support, safety and success of your people?

Workforce engagement

Build stronger WHS understanding and compliance from your workforce, with on-the-job job interactions, workshops and leadership consultations that translate industry regulations into everyday language, and motivate individuals by connecting personal values to their workplace responsibilities.

Counselling services and RTW

Confidential on-site counselling, bridging the gap between work stressors and home, getting your people better support, faster. Early intervention addresses issues before they escalate into incidents, absenteeism and resignations, with trauma-informed care as part of return to work plans.

Capability and development

Protect your investment in people and retain your high achievers, with career planning and professional development mentorship. Peer supporter programs offer training in psychosocial hazard awareness, so you can build capability on the ground, and reduce reliance on leaders and supervisors for everyday issues.

Insights, surveys and reports

Transforming findings into actionable change. Consolidating pulse-checks, leading/lagging indicators, and de-identified feedback to make practical recommendations that fit your site’s reality and priority needs.
